Somerset County NJ Criminal Defense Attorneys

Somerset County NJ Criminal Defense AttorneyWhen you are charged with a criminal offense or a serious motor vehicle violation like a DWI, it can feel as though your life has changed in an instant. Whether the charges originate during a domestic violence dispute, at an event, or while on your way home from work, school, or a social gathering, these moments can alter the course of your life forever.

Even seemingly minor charges for disorderly persons offenses can spell negative implications that you never intended nor anticipated. Collateral consequences of these offenses can send shockwaves through your life, impacting child custody or visitation arrangements, professional or business licenses, employment opportunities, and even your immigration status.

Fortunately, you are afforded the right to due process, the right to defend yourself in a court of law, reestablish your reputation, and reclaim your life. One transgression or false allegation does not have to define your personal narrative. The power is in your hands if you make the right choices. First, always exercise your right to remain silent. You are entitled to consult with an attorney prior to speaking to law enforcement officials, and this guidance can be invaluable when seeking to secure a desirable outcome. Second, find a legal advocate who will thoroughly protect your interests.
